Experience
- Bruce L. Enger serves as the senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Long & Foster Companies and joined the company in 2003. He is responsible for overseeing all the financial, banking and accounting operations of the company which provide support to Long & Foster’s more than 270 real estate sales offices throughout the company’s seven states and District of Columbia. He also oversees the financial operations of the subsidiary mortgage, title, and insurance businesses, and leads the acquisition activities for the companies.
Prior to joining Long & Foster in January 2003, Enger was chief operating officer and senior vice president and partner of Long Realty Company in Tucson, Arizona. He began his real estate career with Long Realty Company in 1997 as chief financial officer and was instrumental in many acquisitions during the growth of the company, including the sale of Long Realty to HomeServices of America, Inc. Enger also spent 15 years prior to that in management in the heavy construction industry, where he was responsible for business development, project management, and estimating.
Enger received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Montana State University before going on to earn his MBA and CPA designations. Enger resides in northern Virginia with his family.
