Amy moved to the Chapel Hill/Durham area in 1995 when her husband was hired as a professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Before becoming a real estate agent, Amy taught elementary school for 11 years both in the public and private setting.
Amy has 4 children from high school and beyond who have enjoyed many extracurricular activities such as: football, baseball, basketball, gymnastics, jump rope and scouts.
Amy enjoys giving back to the community and has volunteered in the schools, for Playmakers Repertory Company and Habitat for Humanity and she supports PORCH, a grassroots hunger relief organization whose mission is to distribute food to families going hungry in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro Community.
Over the years she has experienced living in a variety of communities: apartment, new house, historic house, in town and out of town.
