Giving Back
I have often heard that time is your most valuable asset. Being a Realtor® has allowed me to give back to my community, both locally and globally, in the form of my time.
Member of the Durham Regional Association of Realtors
The mission of the DRAR is to provide members with education and resources that will enable them to enhance professional growth and prosperity, to promote and enforce ethical standards, a be a continuing source of information concerning issues impacting real estate; thereby encouraging and protecting private property rights. As a member of the DRAR there are often opportunities to give back through community outreach projects.
Member of The Exchange Club of Greater Durham
The Exchange Club of Greater Durham is a group of men and women working to make Durham and the surrounding communities a better place to live. This is done through local and national projects with the main focus being the prevention of child abuse. I have served in the capacity as member, secretary, vice president and president. Over the last 6 years the club has raised $157,000 to give back to the community.
Gray Stone Disaster Relief Team
Sharing God's love through word and deed. I have participated in disaster relief mission trips resulting from Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi and also several hurricanes, from Ophelia, Ida, Irene and many others off the coast of NC. My favorite task is roof work, but demolition work and rebuilding is enjoyable as well.
Grey Stone Mission Team
As a member of Grey Stone Church I have had the honor of participating in mission trips to Zambia, Africa and Zimbabwe, Africa. Mission trips such as these provide one a greater appreciation of what we have as Americans, especially clean running water and electricity. An opportunity of a lifetime and one that my chosen profession has allowed me to time to experience.
