Living in Winston-Salem, NC

Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a thriving southern city that dates back to pre-Revolutionary War days. Settled in 1753 by the German-speaking Moravian sect, Winston-Salem is now home to many national businesses, including Krispy Kreme and Hanes. In addition to housing a variety of corporate headquarters, Winston-Salem is heavily invested in the arts. In fact, the Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County was the first locally established arts council in the country, and holds several annual events, including a Summer Park Series and a public outdoor art project.
