I'm so very proud to be the office leadership of the Midtown Office! It's the office where I started my real estate career back in 1988 and have always felt was my 'real estate home'. I've learned that having a passion for what you do in life is so very important. My passion for real estate started in late December, 1987 when I joined Fonville Morisey Realty representing buyers and sellers of real estate in Raleigh, NC. My passion further enhanced in early 1990, when, along with developing a successful sales career, I began mentoring and training new sales associates for our company. Helping new sales associates develop successful and sustainable real estate careers led to becoming a Training Manager then to an Assistant Managers position in 1998. My primary job over the years has been helping our new agents with the start of their real estate careers and that continues to be a very large part of what I do along with leading our seasoned agents in enhancing their successful real estate careers. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing folks accomplish their dreams, whether that's the dream of developing a successful real estate career or the dream of home ownership. Helping make dreams come true is my passion! I truly believe in our company's motto of "Trust, Family, Excellence"....working with a trusted company that's been in business since 1973; working in an environment that feels like family....one that truly cares about you and a company who strives to achieve excellence in all that we do, whether it's with our clients or our agents!
Being recognized by my fellow REALTORS as Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS 2018 "REALTOR of the Year" was one of the greatest honors I've received in my real estate career as it epitomizes what I feel we as REALTORS do, which is to give back....give back to our communities, our industry and those that we work with everyday to help accomplish their dreams. Another milestone in my real estate journey was being inducted into the RRAR REALTORS Hall of Fame in 2021.
In addition to my position with our company, I'm an active member of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS volunteering my time in many of their activities. I was President of Raleigh Regional in 2015 and served as Secretary Treasurer in 2013, President-Elect in 2014, and served on the Board of Directors now for 4 terms. My involvement on numerous committees includes RPAC, Grievance Committee, Government Affairs, By-Laws, Finance, Strategic Planning and Professional Standards. I also am involved with our Triangle REALTORS Leadership Academy having served as an Associate Dean since 2007 and was a member of the task force that formed the Academy. I was involved with the formation of RRAR’s Young Professionals Network. In 2006, I attended the National Association of REALTORS Mediation training in Chicago and serve as a Mediator for RRAR.
Service to NC REALTORS includes serving on the Board of Directors, 2010 and 2020 Chairperson of the Professional Standards Committee; Governance Task Force Committee in 2005-2006; Recruiting Committee in 2004-2005 and By-Laws Committee. I've served as Regional Vice President for Region 10 (Raleigh area) 2012 & 2013 and again for 2017-2018.I currently serve as an NAR Director since 2017 and served on the NAR Professional Standards Committee 2017-2020.
I'm active in my church; a breast cancer survivor and just believe in "get up, dress up, show up and never give up"! I believe in giving back however I can...to the lives of others and organizations that I'm passionate about. I'm so proud of my family, my husband, Bill, our children and all our grandchildren. They are my life and my pride and joys!
