Louisburg also boasts 16 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including Cacine, Louisburg College, and the Louisburg Historic District.

The town of Louisburg is also home to Alpaca Dream, a local alpaca and llama farm that aims to educate visitors on those animals, and the Triangle Skydiving Center, a state-of-the-art skydiving facility.
